There was a lot of concern about how the Los Angeles Lakers would cope with LeBron James’ absence, and they have gone 2-2 so far.

There is some confidence within the fanbase now, as they debated on Reddit whether the team can win its next 5 games against the Grizzlies, Raptors, Knicks, Pelicans, and Rockets.

“I think we go 4-1, we should go 5-0, but maybe something is gonna go wrong like some scrub gonna have 11 3s at halftime.” said a fan who thinks they’re only going to lose once.

“I’m most worried about the Knicks. If we get DLO back next game I don’t think it’s crazy to go 4-1.” stated one who thinks that D’Angelo Russell’s return could lead them to a 4-1 record.

“Knicks is the toughest game on the list. We should also expect AD to sit against the Rockets which they’ve been horrible so we should absolutely be able to win that game. We should be able to go at least 3-2 here.” said a fan who isn’t getting carried away after the recent win.

“Knicks are so tuff but I have faith. And please god no more bad luck and injuries.” said a fan who thinks they can go 5-0.

“If DLO is back and the team can stay healthy, they can definitely go 4-1 the next 5 games.” another fan echoed some of the sentiments shared earlier that they can go 4-1 with Russell.

The Lakers have a very good chance of winning 2 of these games. The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant as he remains suspended for flashing a gun on his Instagram Live. Brandon Clarke is unavailable as well, so the Lakers will never have a better chance of beating Memphis. They should also beat the Rockets, who are at the bottom of the West.

The Pelicans, though, will be tricky, and the game can go either way. As for their remaining two games, it is hard to see them winning those, as the Knicks are 9-1 in their last 10 games while the Raptors are 7-3. They are both playing very well after the All-Star break, and it will take a lot for the Lakers to beat them.

LeBron James Was Delighted After The Lakers Beat The Warriors

Speaking of in-form teams, though, the Golden State Warriors were on a roll and had won five games in a row before the Lakers beat them on Sunday. Not many would have seen that coming, and LeBron was delighted with the result. His co-star Anthony Davis stepped up to get them the win, as he finished with 39 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists.

If he and the rest of the team can stay healthy and play at a high level, then maybe they can pull off an unbeaten run here. Still, the Lakers have only had one 5-game winning streak all season, and to have one now without LeBron, seems rather unlikely.
