LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had a pretty solid game against the Utah Jazz. With their backs against the wall after a three-game losing streak and a terrible performance against the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers had to have a good game. And that is exactly what they did last night.
LeBron James was, once again, the driving force for the Lakers, putting up 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists for them as they defeated the Jazz in an excellent showcase. Lakers fans were thrilled with the way their team played, even dubbing it the best win of their season.
During his press interaction after the Jazz, LeBron was asked why he did not speak to the media after their previous game. LeBron explained that emotions were running high that night, and he felt he would have said something that could’ve been misinterpreted by the media, and didn’t want to put his teammates through that.

“I didn’t like what was going to come out of my mouth… I understand that things that I say can be everywhere, so I didn’t want to do that to my teammates at that point in time.”
LeBron had been fairly silent to the press in the buildup to this game. He did not speak to the media at all after their incredibly poor showing against the Denver Nuggets. But he did issue an apology to the Lakers fanbase and vowed to do better, a message that coincidentally came just 165 days after he asked all the Lakers’ doubters to keep that same energy for the rest of the season.
James seemed a lot happier during the game against the Jazz. He seemed especially hyped after Russell Westbrook came up big for the Lakers with a clutch And-1 layup. The Lakers will be hoping to carry this energy into their next game. Now it remains to be seen whether the Lakers can play this well regularly.
