Southern California may be credited as the movie capital of America, but it is also becoming a monopoly in the sports world.
With teams like the Lakers, Dodgers, and Galaxy, fans in LA have been treated to an amazing product over the years. And now, the LA Rams can be added to that list.
After punching their ticket to the Super Bowl on Sunday, the entire LA sports community gathered together in celebration.
On Twitter, some of the NBA’s most iconic players took part in the widespread reaction.

Many of our favorite NBA players have a passion for the NFL. In the case of LeBron James, he was even recruited by several teams at one point during his NBA career.
“Jerry Jones offered me a contract also Pete Carrol did as well in Seattle during our lockout time,” James told the Manning brothers on during Monday Night Football. “It definitely got my blood flowing again, it got my mind raising again thinking about the game of football and being out there on Sundays. But we were able to get a deal done in the NBA and I was back on the court in no time but I definitely thought about it. I still have the jerseys too that Jerry and Pete sent me from 2011.”
For Los Angeles, the Rams’ victory meant a lot. For a while, the city didn’t even have any representation in the NFL and folks were campaigning for that to change for years.
Now, L.A. has two football franchises to root for: the Rams and Chargers, completing the long-standing tradition of Los Angeles being the home of two teams at once.
For the Rams to be in the Super Bowl so soon says a lot about the future of the sport for the city, a future that many prominent basketball players seem to really be looking forward to.
