LeBron James On Kobe Bryant: “At The End Of The Day We Just Hope We Make Him And His Family Proud.”

3 Min Read

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have taken the 2-1 lead in their West semis series against the Houston Rockets. After a devastating Game 1, where they lost 112-97, the Lakers have won two straight games and look comfortable against the Texans. They have plenty of reasons to be inspired this season and one of the biggest is Kobe Bryant, who left this world last January 26 in a fatal helicopter crash.

Every time the Lakers step on the court, they are inspired by Kobe and they don’t miss a chance to remember the Black Mamba. Last night, after the game was over, LeBron James reminded everybody that Kobe is a big inspiration and the team wants to make him and his family proud, better if they get a championship this campaign.

“At the end of the day we just hope we make him and his family proud, and that’s all it’s about. And Anybody that has ever step foot & put on a Lakers jersey. We hope we make them proud as well. From Kobe all the way down to everybody that has ever played in Los Angeles & been a part of the Los Angeles Lakers organization. That’s what we’re trying to do. It’s a tradition here & it’s our responsibility, win, lose or draw… That’s what Dr. Buss would’ve wanted as well.”

Bron is on a mission right now. He knows they’re playing under extraordinary circumstances and this title will be the perfect finish to a tumultuous season. The year 2020 hasn’t been easy for anybody and James and his team are trying to bring some joy to the fans. He has a big responsibility and is ready to deliver, even though the road to success is anything but easy.

He scored 36 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in Game 3, while Anthony Davis added 26 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. The Lakers have seemingly found their pace and the job will be harder for the Rockets now.
