Bronny James turned 19 on October 6, and LeBron James shared a beautiful message on Instagram to mark the occasion.

“On and off the court you’re the Bronny!! Happy Born-Day son!!! Love you kid. Keep going up!”

James had posted a heartfelt message on Bronny’s 18th birthday as well, where the 38-year-old stated how proud he was of the man his son had become. Those feelings haven’t changed a bit in a year.

LeBron has been an incredibly supportive father who has been there every step of the way for his children. He has been the biggest hype man for his eldest son too, with James once saying Bronny has the best prom outfit of all time.

Bronny James Is Expected To Make A Full Recovery

Considering how much he loves his son, the events on July 24, 2023, would have shocked LeBron to the core. Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during practice at USC that day and had to be rushed to a hospital.

While the teenager’s condition was revealed to be stable not long after, his basketball future was in serious doubt. It was reported that LeBron and wife Savannah were fine if Bronny never played basketball again, and understandably so. If there was any chance his health would be at risk, it made no sense to continue on that path.

It didn’t come to that, however, as Bronny is expected to make a full recovery as the reason for the cardiac arrest was revealed to be a Congenital Heart Defect, which can be treated. He is now expected to play for USC at some point this upcoming season.

LeBron James Is Dedicating The 2023-24 Season To Bronny

The days and weeks following the cardiac arrest would have been extremely stressful for the James family. Fortunately, the youngster seems to be in a great place now, as evidenced by LeBron’s most recent update on Bronny’s health.

“Bronny is doing extremely well. He has begun his rehab process to get back on the floor this season with USC. He had successful surgery and he’s up and up. It’s definitely a whirlwind of emotions for our family this summer but the best thing we have is each other. And we stuck behind each other and gave Bronny strength throughout the whole process. We are happy to see where he is today and look forward to seeing what his future still has in store for him.”

“Nothing else matters besides my family and I’m going to dedicate this season to Bronny because of the incident that happened this summer. It puts everything in perspective. No matter what’s going on in your life at that point of time the only thing that matters is your family.”

That is most certainly true. Your family is the most important thing in the world, and it’s great that James is dedicating the season to his son. It would be quite special if he does go on to win a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023-24 after doing so. LeBron does have a great team around him as well, and it certainly wouldn’t be a shocker if wins it all.
