  • Bronny diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect by a team of top doctors
  • James expected to make a full recovery after a short hiatus
  • Bronny is set to finally start his college career at USC

As a High School graduate, LeBron James Jr. has earned celebrity status as he attempts to follow in his father’s footsteps — but that doesn’t mean everything has been drama-free. Bronny, who has shown a lot of promise already, received a big health scare this summer after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest

But now the word on the street is that Bronny will make a full recovery from what is being declared a congenital heart defect. “After a comprehensive initial evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center led by Dr. Merije Chuckumerije and follow-up evaluations at the Mayo Clinic, the probable cause of Mr. James’ sudden cardiac arrest has been identified. It is an anatomically and functionally significant  Congenital Heart Defect which can and will be treated…”

Bronny committed to USC this summer, and his freshman season is approaching fast. Now that he’s in good health, and cleared to resume action with no risks, we can expect Bronny to return to his regular schedule, which likely includes rigorous exercise and training for the upcoming season.

After that, James Jr. will prepare for Draft day, where he’s currently projected to be a low to mid-level first-round pick. Regardless of where he ends up in the NBA, Bronny will have all eyes on him moving forward as a potential upcoming basketball star.

Where Will Bronny End Up In 2024?

A clean bill of health should return things to normal for Bronny and his family, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty clouding the future. Mostly, fans are wondering which team Bronny will be playing for when it’s time to make his debut.

Knowing it’s a package deal with his dad, even contending teams are sure to take a look at Bronny next summer if it means a chance at picking up his father. But even if he decides to go out on his own away from his dad, Bronny has more than enough natural talent and understanding of the game to hold his own.

At this point, it’s still far too early to say with any certainty where Bronny will be playing when he hits the NBA sector or even how good he will be, but it’s clear he isn’t going to let anything get in the way of his success, not even a defect of his own body,
