The Los Angeles Lakers dominated Game 3 against the Memphis Grizzlies from start to finish, there were still some intense moments in the game due to the physical nature of the contest.

One of the incidents featured Dillon Brooks getting ejected after striking LeBron James in the groin area. After the game, LeBron James revealed his immediate reaction to the incident, noting that his goal was simply to keep “focusing on the game plan.”

“Just focusing on the game plan. There was a lot of game to be played when that incident happened. So just tried to get up, protect my crown jewels, and move on to the next play.”

There is no doubt that this is a winner’s mindset from LeBron James. Rather than physically retaliating or trying to do anything hostile towards Dillon Brooks, LeBron James simply dominated on the court. He put up 25 points and 9 rebounds on 50% from the field, and it is clear that he got the last laugh since the Lakers won the game.

In the playoffs, LeBron James has averaged 24.7 PPG, 10.7 RPG, and 4.3 APG for the Los Angeles Lakers thus far. It is clear that he has upped his intensity on the boards in particular, and we have seen him play some elite defense as well. Hopefully, he continues to play at a high level since the Lakers will need him at his best to get far in the playoffs this year.

Dillon Brooks Insulted LeBron James After The Grizzlies Won Game 2

After the Grizzlies won Game 2, it is clear that Dillon Brooks was feeling confident. He ended up insulting LeBron James, calling the superstar “old”, and stating that he was willing to “poke bears”.

“I don’t care, he’s old. I was waiting for that, I was expecting him to do that Game 4 or Game 5. He wanted to say something when I got my 4th foul, he didn’t say nothing early on. But you know, I poke bears. I don’t respect no one until they come in and give me 40. So, I pride myself on defense and taking on any challenge.”

It is obvious that Dillon Brooks is willing to go at even the best of the best. The Grizzlies have looked good defensively when he is on the court, but his offense at times hurts the team. The Grizzlies will need more offensive production out of him if they are to win the series on top of the defense, and we’ll see if he’s up for the challenge.
