Russell Westbrook may not be a Laker anymore, but he still has ample love from the city of Los Angeles and LeBron James.

Westbrook's exit from the team was nothing short of dramatic, and the guard was traded to the Utah Jazz as part of a three-team trade.

And while Westbrook does mull over buyout options, James was vocal in his support for the former Laker by posting a story about why the 34-year-old was integral to LA and who he really was to the City of Angels.

California Assembly Member Isaac G. Bryan took to Instagram to post a series of images explaining Westbrook's bond with the city, and this, in turn was posted by James on his story. Here's a look at Isaac's post:

LeBron James Shows Support To Russell Westbrook With Instagram Story: "Let Me Tell Y'all Who He Really Is To LA"

The first post was about the guard helping the Crenshaw YMCA by bringing in the Jordan team to renovate the community center.

This was followed by another image of his foundation sponsoring a Christmas event, one of him showing up at Nipsey Hussle's posthumous honor, and to end, he opened his brand 'Honor The Gift's first store in LA.

The images clearly suggest that Westbrook has been a LA lad through and through, explaining why playing for the Lakers was one of his dreams come true. However, the stint was not what he expected it to be.

Russell Westbrook Is Garnering Ample Interest From Buyout Teams

Westbrook is one of the players expected to be bought out before the end of the season and he has interest coming in from multiple teams.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the guard is currently engaged in conversations with several teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, LA Clippers, and the Miami Heat.

Per reports, the Bulls and the Clippers are frontrunners to land the explosive player, and only time will tell if he indeed suits up as a starter or assume a bench role with the new franchise.

Safe to say, he has a chance to slam back at doubters, and by the looks of it, he's keeping his options option to see where he can make a mark next.
