Luka Doncic is one of the top superstars in the NBA, and many view him as the future face of the NBA. Doncic is an extremely skilled offensive player, and there is absolutely nothing he can’t do on that end of the floor.

Recently, a statistic shared by the Twitter page StatMuse has shown that Luka Doncic is elite when it comes to scoring. The Tweet by StatMuse showed that Luka Doncic and Michael Jordan are tied a 33.4 career PPG in the playoffs, and are the only two players that have averaged above 30.0 PPG in the playoffs.

There is no doubt that generally, simply being mentioned alongside Michael Jordan is a good thing. While obviously, Luka Doncic isn’t as good as Michael Jordan, he’s definitely doing something right to be next to the GOAT of basketball in terms of career playoff scoring.

Luka Doncic is currently playing against the Phoenix Suns in his second-round series. The Phoenix Suns looked dominant in Game 1, despite Luka Doncic’s elite individual performance. Deandre Ayton was dominant against the Dallas Mavericks in that game, and even ahead of the series, coach Jason Kidd warned out that the Suns’ big men can really put the ball in the basket.

We have to adapt. Our game plan against Utah is not going to work against the Suns. We’ve already changed that mindset because we’re not playing the Jazz. We understand their strength is the midrange, but they can hurt you with the three in transition and they can hurt you in the paint with JaVale and Ayton. This isn’t Gobert or Whiteside. These guys can put the ball in the basket. So, our bigs are going to be tested.

Hopefully, we see Luka Doncic continue to shine in the playoffs. He is a fantastic player, that can carry an entire offense by himself. While the Phoenix Suns will definitely be favored in this series, Luka Doncic shouldn’t be counted out.

The Dallas Mavericks are definitely a solid team, but they will need someone to step up next to Luka Doncic offensively if they want to have a chance against the Phoenix Suns. Spencer Dinwiddie and Jalen Brunson were solid in their first-round series, and hopefully they can help the Mavericks get some wins and potentially an upset.
