Besides being a generational talent, Luka Doncic has been known for constantly talking with referees, trying to get a call from them. This has been a recurrent activity for him, and Luka is often seen losing his cool against officials.

Recently, Doncic revealed that he curses out referees but does it in different languages so he can skip getting called a technical foul.

“Everything comes out a little bit,” Doncic told Tim MacMahon of ESPN. “I know some bad words in other languages, too.”

Doncic admits that he’s a different person when he enters the basketball court, and all the happiness he has when he’s not playing fades as soon as he steps on the court.

“I change when I get on a basketball court,” Doncic said during the Mavs’ January visit to Los Angeles. “Off the court, I’m not an angry person. You can ask everybody.”

The Dallas Mavericks superstar is fluent in four languages, English, Serbian, Spanish, and of course, Slovenian. He for sure knows a lot of bad words and doesn’t hesitate to direct them at officials.

Kobe Bryant used to do the same with his rivals, learning their native languages to trash-talk them, but Doncic has a different approach. It seems like his rivals are the referees with all the complaints every game.

This has become a problem for Doncic, and he has admitted to it, but admitting that this is bad behavior and changing it are different things.

Reggie Miller Urges Luka Doncic To Change His Behavior

Doncic was recently called out by Reggie Miller for the constant complaining about referees, as well as his bad shape. The legendary sharpshooter offered the young guard a piece of advice, but it remains to be seen if Doncic listens to the Indiana Pacers icon.

Meanwhile, he’s on vacation after the Dallas Mavericks couldn’t even make it to the play-in tournament. He had another incredible season, individually speaking, but his team struggled a lot to get things going. Next season could be crucial for his future, as Luka could finally get tired of not winning and request a trade from the Mavericks.
