Luka Doncic On If He Would Trade Boban For Jokic: ‘If Jokic Wants To Come Over, He Should Come Over. He Know He Wants To.’

Luka Doncic revealed some juicy information during the Dallas Mavericks media day 1, talking about the future of the team, his new teammates and what he expects to do this next season. The Slovenian point guard casually spoke in four languages during his conference, dropping some good comments that could make the Mavs dream.

While speaking in Serbian, Doncic talked about Nikola Jokic and the possibility of the Joker joining him in Dallas. Doncic was asked if he would trade Boban Marjanovic for Jokic, but he showed a different scenario when they all play together (13:52 mark).

“You’re really good friends with Boban. Would you be willing to trade Boban for Jokic if it meant you could win a ring?” One journalist jokingly asked.

“I wouldn’t trade anyone, I can’t trade anyone,” Doncic said. “It’s not my job. If Jokic wants to come over, he should come over. He knows he wants to,” Doncic replied.

During the bubble, Doncic was spotted hanging out with more Balkan players so perhaps those conversations with Jokic led to this idea. Doncic doesn’t it with bad eyes and Jokic would be a great addition to the Mavericks. However, he wouldn’t trade Boban to make that possible.
