He’s been a pro for nearly a decade and has earned over $109 million in his six years as an NBA player alone. His current Mavericks contract has three years left for over $138 million. The final year of the deal includes a player option, something Doncic will be expected to decline and re-sign on a possible supermax contract.
As long as Doncic is on a team with his Bird rights, he could be in line for a five-year, $367 million extension from the 2026-27 season onwards. He’s eligible to sign a deal from the summer of 2025, already having met all supermax qualifications before this season’s All-NBA teams are announced.
