Marcus Morris On Support From Brother Markieff: “I Talked To My Brother At Halftime And He’s Like, ‘Don’t Even Think About It, Let It Fly, You’re The Best Shooter In The World…'”

Even though they play on city rivals, Marcus and Markieff Morris keep their connection untouchable. Not even a rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers could change that. We saw the biggest sample of that on Friday night when Markieff took to Twitter to root for his twin brother Marcus.

The Clippers beat the Dallas Mavericks, 118-108, behind Kawhi Leonard and Paul George’s 65 points combined. Moreover, Morris also did his part, dropping 15 points, going 3-5 from deep. Markieff noticed his brother was having a sweet moment and didn’t miss the chance to celebrate that.

“Shoot em down kid!!!” Keef tweeted.

After the Clippers grabbed their first W of the series, Marcus was asked about his brother and the good vibes he sent him during the game. The big man said they’ve been pushing each other since they entered the league and nothing has changed.

“It means a lot. I talked to my brother at halftime & he’s like, ‘don’t even think about it, let it fly, you’re the best shooter in the world…’ We’ve been doing that since day one since we set foot in the NBA. I always look to him for encouragement.”

They entered the league together, their paths have gone separate ways, but their connection is there. Now that they play for rivals like Lakers and Clippers, some think things have changed, but that’s not the case.

They are twins, and their bond is unbreakable. We could see them clashing in the Western Conference Finals. Yet, a lot must happen before we get to see them going at it.

Still, it’s great to see how supportive they are of one another. That’s brotherhood, and these pair embrace that no matter what.
