Mario Chalmers Wants To Play With LeBron James And Los Angeles Lakers

1 Min Read

Mario Chalmers wants to reunite with LeBron James in Los Angeles a couple of years after they played together for the Miami Heat. Chalmers was James’ point guard during his days at South Beach, playing four consecutive NBA Finals.

The Lakers are reportedly looking to add a playmaker this offseason, and Chalmers signed his name on the list of candidates, asking for an opportunity to show he can be that player for the purple and gold.

“Let me get a shot at this…..just a workout or let me come play pick up..” Chalmers tweeted on Tuesday.

Chalmers is a 2x NBA champion, who knows Bron very well. The Lakers have had three different point guards during the King’s tenure at Staples Center, and they will likely have a 4th this season.

It remains to be seen if the front office offers a new chance to Mario, who last played for Greek side Aris Thessaloniki. This is an interesting option for the Lakers, but it’s worth noting that Chalmers is 35 right now. It’s unclear if the team is ready to commit to a player his age.
