Even after reaching glory again, the Golden State Warriors are still receiving criticism from people around the league. The Dubs confirmed that they are back after a 4-2 win over the Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals. Stephen Curry showed the way for his team, winning his first Finals MVP award after everything was said and done.

While plenty of people congratulated the Warriors and their superstar, others decided to take a different route while addressing the new NBA champions. Kevin Durant ignored his former team during the first hours after their win, and LeBron James didn’t send a message to Stephen Curry

Meanwhile, former Warriors head coach Mark Jackson threw shade at Steph right after he won his first Finals MVP award. Jackson, who was linked with a return to the NBA this offseason, had an interesting choice of words to explain why Curry was successful against the C’s.

It’s true that Boston couldn’t find an answer for Steph, but that’s more credit to the player than anything else. The Celtics boasted the No. 1 defense in the league when they made it to the Finals, so saying that their efforts on the less glamorous side of the ball were responsible for Curry’s success is simply wrong.

Steph had off nights, too, but he always bounced back and showed why he’s one of the greatest players to set foot on an NBA court. People will always find a way to knock on others, but it doesn’t seem like Curry is too bothered by this anymore.

He has established himself as a top-10 player of all time and nothing can change that.
