Memphis Grizzlies Twitter Account Trolls The Lakers After Beating Them

Just when it looked like the Lakers would be putting their inconsistent run behind them, they had yet another disappointing performance. Hopes were high for the Lakers, especially after their statement win against the Boston Celtics. But they slipped up again, this time against the Memphis Grizzlies, who were without Ja Morant.

Lakers fans were understandably upset, with some even suggesting that the team should trade every player other than LeBron James. This performance was yet another setback for the Lakers, who can’t seem to get a run going. Charles Barkley even predicted that the Lakers won’t win 6 games in a row this season.

And the Memphis Grizzlies decided to pour salt in the wounds of the Lakers and their fans, trolling them online. After the game, the Memphis Grizzlies’ Twitter account posted a picture of SpongeBob holding an L, to point to the fact that the Grizzlies handed them a loss, that too for the second time this season.

The Lakers have been very inconsistent this entire season. And while fans anticipated the team struggling in the early parts of the year, they did not expect the Lakers to be floundering the way they are right now. Some are optimistic, with former Laker Shaquille O’Neal picking the Lakers to be a top-4 seed by the end of the season.

But if they continue to play the way they have, there is no way that the Lakers will be able to accomplish that. There needs to be a serious change right now, and the Lakers have to be more consistent. That might be easier said than done, as the Lakers’ main weakness, defense, has not seen any significant improvement so far.

The Lakers were one of the best defensive teams in the NBA over the last two seasons. And right now, they are far from that. They need to improve defensively if they want to have a chance at an NBA championship this season.
