Performing well in the regular season is obviously important. After all, it contributes to a lot of individual and team accolades. But the ultimate goal of any NBA player is to play well in the postseason.

If a player cannot do that, he will never be truly considered great among fans and analysts alike. The two NBA legends that have done this throughout the course of their careers are Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

Both MJ and LBJ shift into a higher gear when it matters the most. Ultimately, it leads to their teams performing incredibly well in the postseason as well. Mike helped the Bulls win six NBA Championships during his NBA career.

On the other hand, while LeBron has a lower number of rings to his name, with four, he is still one of the best performers when it comes to playing well in the playoffs.

But have you ever wondered how many points per game Mike and LeBron have each averaged throughout Games 1 to 7?

Michael Jordan Is A True Nightmare During NBA Playoffs

During his NBA career, Mike built a reputation for being a lethal player in the playoffs. He would destroy his opponents with his supreme scoring ability. The best example of it is the fact that he led the Bulls to six NBA Championships during the 1990s.

Anyway, coming back to the topic at hand. When we compare the PPGs of Mike and James in Games 1 to 7, the former overpowers the latter in Games 1 to 6.

As it is clearly visible in the Instagram post above, MJ has insane PPG in Games 1 to 6, but it’s during Game 7s when LeBron has proved to be a true beast.

Considering Jordan is known as one of the best scorers of all time, this is not a surprise. Moreover, the fact that Mike didn’t play a lot of Game 7s in a career is probably the reason why James surpasses him there.
