Montrezl Harrell On Defending A Bigger Player Like KAT: “I Don’t Really Believe In That ‘Smaller’ Stuff, Man. If You Believed In That, The Elephant Would Be The King Of The Jungle. And That Ain’t Happening.”

Montrezl Harrell has demonstrated he’s not afraid of any challenge during his NBA career. The big man is always ready to go regardless of the rival in front of him and he showed that again on Tuesday night. The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Minnesota Timberwolves and Harrell had a very good game.

The player had the task to guard Karl-Anthony Town and he did a pretty good job, stopping the center at 15 points in 33 minutes. After the game was over, he talked about the challenge of going against a bigger player like KAT, using a jungle analogy to explain what drives him to give his best against taller and bigger players.

“I don’t really believe in that smaller stuff, man, because at the end of the day, if you believed in that, the elephant would be the king of the jungle.”

Moreover, Trezz talked about the Lakers’ situation without Anthony Davis, explaining the Brow’s absence is huge but the Lakers have the assets to keep competitive in the league.

“Guys are just ready to go. We’re a really deep team,” Harrell said. “I think everybody took the news and we kind of just looked at it as we’re gonna have to do things to extremely harder level on both offense ad defense on the floor.

“Anthony Davis does a great deal of things for us both offense and defense and we’re not going to be able to just replace the thing that he does. But we’re going to have to be able to step up and just fill that void while he’s gone.”

The former Los Angeles Clippers player is having a very good season with the Lakers. He won’t replace Anthony Davis but Harrell is well aware that every other player on the roster needs to step up and try to play at their best if they want to keep the Lakers as one of the best teams in the association.

Montrezl is fearless and he’s not afraid of going up against anybody. KAT confirmed that on Tuesday as the Lakers earned a 104-112 win at Minnesota.
