Nate Robinson Goes Off On Michael Beasley After He Calls LeBron James The GOAT

Michael Beasley fires back after Nate Robinson’s heated comment over GOAT debate.

Former Heat forward Michael Beasley became the latest to chime in on the GOAT debate, and it’s no surprise who he chose.

“I feel like people that are saying Michael Jordan is the GOAT,” said Beasley on the OGs Show. “Y’all just holding onto old feelings.”

After former NBA point guard Nate Robinson caught wind of Beasley’s argument for LeBron as the GOAT of basketball, he didn’t hold back his words of judgment. In a comment on Instagram, Nate destroyed his former NBA colleague and started a short exchange that went viral online.

“N*gga stop smoking weed, the reason we say [Jordan] is the best is because we have eyes and can see his game is just better bro it’s ok,” wrote Robinson. “We know ur a Bron fan and that’s ok, but [Jordan] made every human on this earth wanna be like Mike lol and wear his kicks, I still haven’t seen one human wear LeBrons with jeans or any regular outfit lol.”

Nate Robinson is an 11-year NBA veteran who spent much of his career battling against LeBron James. Meanwhile, Beasley was teammates with LeBron and still defends him to this day…

“Ouch I thought we were friends.” replied Beasley. “I get not agreeing with my opinion but that jab hurt worse than seeing you plank on tv.”

The ”plank on TV” bit refers to Nate Robinson’s infamously short stint in the ring, where he lost in embarrassing fashion to Jake Paul.

Robinson has since faded out of the public eye… except to take shots at former players when he doesn’t like their take.

As harsh as the exchange was, it’s really just the latest incident between two sides of an endless war. On one side is team LeBron, ready to claim him as the new GOAT. On the other side are guys like Nate, who will never stop believing in Michael Jordan’s legacy.

Today, it’s impossible to draw a definitive conclusion on the argument but it hasn’t stopped anyone from trying to make their case.

Everybody Wanted To Be Like Mike

Statistically, nobody has a better GOAT case than LeBron. As a 4x champion, 4x MVP, 20x All-Star and NBA’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron has done things that not even Jordan has done.

But when it comes to the intangible qualities of an NBA superstar, Michael had something that LeBron never will.

As the ultimate competitor, a peak alpha leader, and a naturally charismatic star, Michael had the entire sports world on its knees and his influence stretched way beyond just the NBA network.

Between his “Jordan Brand” sneaker line and projects like Space Jam, Michael was a celebrity in the ultimate way and he became an icon/role model for countless people around the world.

LeBron obviously holds some degree of fame in the league today, but he doesn’t have the world following him like they did Michael and that says a lot about how popular he was back in the day.

For LeBron, no amount of trophies or accolades will ever make him equal to Jordan in this way and that’s enough in many people’s minds to settle the GOAT debate once and for all.
