Kevin Durant’s trade request is what most people in the NBA world are talking about right now, and we are all awaiting the result. It is unclear where discussions between the Brooklyn Nets and other teams stand at this very moment, but thus far, the Nets have clearly not liked any of the offers.

Some people have criticized Kevin Durant for requesting a trade. One of Durant’s critics is legendary center Shaquille O’Neal, who suggested that he was simply trying to find an easier way to win a championship.

“When you put a house together, you should live in it. You were the one that got the other architect from Philadelphia, so you as a leader, should make it work, but you don’t want to make it work, I guess you go buy another house. You know he’s probably trying to get to a contender. It’s easier that way.”

NBA analyst Ric Bucher has recently reacted to Shaquille O’Neal’s criticism of Kevin Durant requesting a trade, pointing out that Shaquille O’Neal did the “exact same thing” two times.

.@RicBucher reacts to Shaq’s criticism of Kevin Durant.

“I don’t know if Shaq is the exact right person to be suggesting that KD is doing something wrong if and when he looks for a better situation, because I would say that Shaq did the exact same thing not once but twice.” pic.twitter.com/ydtGsqlUwY

“I don’t know if Shaq is the exact right person to be suggesting that KD is doing something wrong if and when he looks for a better situation, because I would say that Shaq did the exact same thing not once but twice.”

Hopefully, we see the situation between Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets get resolved soon, whether he ends up remaining on the Nets or gets traded. It is clear that his priority is simply to win, and perhaps the Brooklyn Nets can convince him that staying is the right move.

If he does get moved, though, there are a number of teams with which Kevin Durant could potentially win a championship with. Perhaps he’ll end up on one of them, and we’ll see what happens going forward.
