Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry created one of the best duos in the NBA in recent years. Both players became a problem in the Bay playing with the Warriors. They went to three NBA Finals and won two championships in three years, demonstrating they were the rulers of the league.
Now that they took separate ways, with Durant joining the Brooklyn Nets and Curry staying in Golden State, a lot of debates have started around the league. Right now the Warriors are a wandering team and everybody has started to wonder what this team needs to be successful again. That said, one NBA fan sparked a big debate over Durant and Curry, asking other fans if Steph needed Durant more than KD needed the point guard.

Of course, everybody had something to say about that and things get heated very quickly. Although, most of the fans said that KD needed Curry more than Curry needed him while others stated that they needed each other to be successful.

Both made the Finals without the other, when they faced in the Playoffs it went to 7. They made each other better and no one needed the other one.

If you look at the plays Golden State ran, they were designed around curry. Genuinely, defenders used to stick to curry and often leave KD open. Which is why this team was lethal. KD needed Steph. Not the other way around

Neither. Curry won mvps before KD and KD won mvp before Curry. They’re both extremely talented and came together to form an overpowering squad. To say they need each other is an overstatement.

The truth is that they benefited from each other, playing great basketball, becoming the best team in the NBA during their time together. Now they took different routes but the things we saw from those Dubs will be hard to forget.
