Despite the Boston Celtics’ big win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, many people felt some things weren’t as good as they wanted. Jayson Tatum’s performance against the Western Conference champions was poor and people let him know after the game.
The young superstar only posted 12 points, and even though he dished out 13 assists, his poor shooting made a lot of noise around the NBA. Tatum is one of the most exciting young players in the league right now, and seeing him with that type of display was odd. Tatum vowed to be better but admitted that as long as the team wins, he’s happy.
Well, that still didn’t stop fans from trolling Tatum’s performance. One of them mocked his emotional text to Kobe Bryant’s old phone number before Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Instead of the Lakers legend, Molly Morrison claimed that Tatum texted Coby White his famous ‘I got you today’ line.

“Tatum accidentally texted Coby White tonight”, she wrote on Twitter.
Of course, more fans reacted to this and had something to add to the whole Tatum thing. Others defended Coby White, wondering why his name was thrown into that conversation.

Thirteen assists. Man knew it wasn’t his night and helped facilitate. That’s what great players do.

The 2022 NBA Finals just started and Tatum knows he has more chances to put up good numbers and lead his squad to more wins this series. They stole Game 1 from the Dubs and now it’s time to see if they can keep this going. The Celtics are a very solid team and the Warriors know that they can turn things around at any minute.
JT will be ready to bounce back next time they clash and if the Celtics keep the same level, plus Tatum scoring like he normally does, the Warriors will be in big trouble.
