LeBron James has millions of fans around the world, and a particularly die-hard one showed up for the game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans. The fan had 15 different LeBron jerseys and was hoping that James would sign at least one of them.

He wore LeBron’s football and basketball jerseys from high school to go with the various others that he has had in the NBA. There was a rather small Miami Heat jersey there too, which might have been from this individual’s childhood.

It doesn’t seem as if he got LeBron’s signature on any of them, though, which is a shame. I’d like to think if the 39-year-old does come across this viral clip, he would be nice enough to do it at a later point.

The Fan Revealed He Has Over 50 Different LeBron James Jerseys

Having 15 different jerseys is quite something, but the fan revealed he actually has a lot more than that. In response to this post, he shared he has over 50 different LeBron jerseys.

I’m not sure if there is a term beyond die-hard fan, but it would certainly apply to this individual. He even has LeBron’s Team USA jersey and one from an All-Star game as well. That is unbelievable dedication right there, and we probably have a strong contender for the biggest LeBron fan on the planet.

LeBron James Shines, But The Lakers Lose Again

This fan witnessed another incredible performance from LeBron against the Pelicans, as he had 34 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 1 block. The 19-time All-Star also shot 12-24 from the field, but as has been the case in recent times, was unable to drag the Lakers to victory.

They didn’t even get close in this one, as the Pelicans blew out the Lakers 129-109. New Orleans went up big early and L.A. never really got close, as they succumbed to their seventh defeat in the last nine games. After a loss like that, you probably can’t blame LeBron for not sticking around to sign a fan’s jersey.

During this rough stretch for the team, he has averaged 25.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 9.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game, but it has not been enough to even win half of those. You can’t even point the blame at Anthony Davis for their struggles, as he has averaged 28.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game in that time.

It’s incredible that a team can struggle so much when their two stars are playing at a fairly high level, and it is quite concerning. Another worrying aspect is that they have this 17-17 record with James and Davis having played 31 and 32 games, respectively.

If recent history is anything to go by, they are going to miss some time due to injury at some stage this season. So, if the Lakers are struggling to win with them, what happens if one or both are out?

What was so impressive about the second half of last season for L.A. was how well they played when LeBron was injured. His teams had always struggled when he was out and it gave you reason to believe this Lakers squad might be different. Well, that has certainly not been the case in 2023-24 and the longer this goes, you’d feel a trade of some sort becomes inevitable.
