Devin Booker had a bit of an incident during his last game against the Toronto Raptors. During the game, Devin Booker was at the free-throw line but noticed the Toronto Raptors’ mascot was trying to distract him. Not taking kindly to it, Booker went and complained to the referees, explaining to them that he was moving to try to throw him off his game.

NBA fans were not happy with Booker, mostly pointing out how it is an example of his weak mentality. Some fans even suggested that this was a prime example as to why the modern generation of the NBA is considered ‘soft’, whereas others rubbished the comparisons fans have made between him and Kobe Bryant.

I’m a huge Devin Booker fan, but this may be the softest thing I’ve ever seen & further proves that this era of basketball is SOFT AS HELL Booker doesn’t complain when there’s thousands of opposing fans in the seats going nuts, does he?!

#soft

why he gotta be so soft lmfao it’s a dude in a fucking dinosaur costume

Booker one of the softest in the league today

That’s why I was so pissed when he was stepping up to PG for no reason . He’s soft ash, complained about doubling in pickup too

Dont ever put this guys name next to Kobe EVER AGAIN.

Soft like my toilet paper

Can deal with 20k but can’t really deal with 1? I mean I can see it standing out more but I mean you can do it with 20k people doing the same thing.

IM GLad the Kobe comparisons stop. Like frfr. Like the Goat Kobe Bryant once said “Soft as CHARMIN”

Nothing like Kobe so y’all stop comparing him to Kobe if anything y’all should be comparing Derozan to Kobe instead of Mr. Soft here

I remembered Tony Parker shooting a free throw while a fan raise a photo of his Ex. What’s more of a distraction than that?

1st ko double team i pick up game now this? Some kobe fan huh kobe will be disgusted with you

Why is there a mascot if there’s no fans. More importantly why he bitching about a mascot ‍♂️

Ain’t no way he cried about that

Love DBook but he complained bout being double teamed when Kobe used to get quadruple teamed, & he cries bout a mascot jumping while shooting his free throw when Kobe didnt let a damn thing distract him at the line not enn a injury. Please stop comparing this man to Kobe it’ll neva be anotha Kobe #mambamentality

Chill out booker

remember he complaining about double team? on a practice? HAHHAHA

This isn’t the first time Booker has had accusations of being ‘soft’. After the 2021 NBA Finals, a clip of Booker getting angry after he was double-teamed during a pick-up game went viral, because it was a similar situation he faced during the NBA Finals that cost him and the Phoenix Suns a game.

Booker may have to do a lot of work in order to amend his reputation after this latest incident. Booker had been lauded as one of the brightest young stars in the NBA for the longest time. But this incident has really set him back.
