NBA Fans Have Already Started The Narrative That Nikola Jokic Should Leave The Nuggets: “Warriors Is The Perfect Team For Him”

4 Min Read

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets have been outshined by the Golden State Warriors in their playoff series so far. The reigning league MVP is currently overwhelmed, as he has no reliable co-star to defer to, whereas the Golden State Warriors have 4 of their best players playing at an extremely high level. The way the Warriors have dominated Jokic has raised questions about his future in Denver.

NBA fans on Reddit discussed whether Nikola Jokic should leave the Denver Nuggets in a now-deleted post, as their last two games against the Golden State Warriors have shown that Jokic doesn’t have enough help to find long-term championship success in the city. Fans believe that teams like the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors, and the Dallas Mavericks would be best suited for Jokic’s talents.

Yes leave lol

Jokic and gobert to dallas to form the euro-texas squad

love sorting by new just to see insane reactionary bs like this

Warriors receive: Nikola Jokic

Nuggets receive: Wiggins, Wiseman, Moody, 3 FRPs

Jokic on the warriors would just be dumb as hell. Passing to people who can actually make a wide open three is to much to ask

He’d be nice on Toronto too

He’d be nice pretty much anywhere with some 3 and d players around him and like 1 other star. Klay and Jokic would be nasty as hell on a team

so you saying he would be good on the mavs

I see no problem with this

Lmfao what’s a horrrible trade for the Warriors. Loony + 2045 2 rd pick + autograph from GPII should be enough

YES COME TO DALLAS WE HAVE HORSES HERE

Murray is always hurt? I just assumed he got one acl tear which is of course a major injury but I never knew he was injury prone.

This narrative better not be starting already

He left em tonight

He should play better to start.

But no. The nuggets just need to be ballsy and trade MPJ and Murray and go all in

I don’t think you can play better than that tbh.

Y’all really expect superstars to be perfect.

Come on, That was an ok game from him at best. I know he has no help but to say he can’t play better then that is ridiculous.

Even if he went 40/15/12 nuggets would still get blown out. You don’t win with your 2nd and 3rd best guys out lol. But ya nuggets are screwed anyways with those contracts imo

He’s getting cooked because of our shitty perimeter defense and then because or shitty guards can’t contain Steph/Poole/Klay Jokic is asked to step up and when he can’t it’s “Jokic is getting cooked” no it’s our guards are getting cooked

A lot of fans noted that this narrative is extremely early right now, as the Nuggets haven’t even been eliminated from the playoffs right now. On top of that, the Nuggets are missing two of their best players in Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Neither player is expected to make a return any time soon, so if Jokic wants to reach the second round, he is going have to do it himself.

The Nuggets will host the Warriors at their home court for the next 2 games and will try to get themselves back into the series.
