The Denver Nuggets are struggling in their first-round series against the Golden State Warriors. Nikola Jokic may be the favorite to become back-to-back MVP, but he has been unable to do much against a Warriors team that has been shooting lights out in the first two games. While they will try to find a way to win, it’s evident that the Nuggets are missing their 2nd and 3rd best players this season.
Michael Porter Jr., and more importantly, Jamal Murray have missed almost the entirety of the season, and this has been quite detrimental to the Nuggets being able to mount any sort of challenge for the NBA title. And while the team and even Nikola Jokic know it doesn’t make sense for Jamal Murray to rush back unless he’s at 100%, some fans don’t share that understanding or patience.
Murray has received some hate in recent days, with fans insinuating that he’s not too hurt to make a return, or that his being missing is somehow down to him. The Nuggets man has had enough, taking to Twitter to respond to his haters.
Y’all don’t think I wanna be out there huh.. crazy

“Y’all don’t think I wanna be out there huh.. crazy.”
While injuries to stars are frustrating for fans, it’s nothing compared to what it feels like for the players themselves when they can’t help out their teammates. It’s doubly worse for stars considering how important they are to anything their team can achieve. Regardless, Murray’s frustration is clear and even if he were perfectly healthy, performing immediately in a playoff setting after a year out is very unlikely.
The Nuggets need some sort of spark though, having gone 2-0 down against the Warriors on Monday night. Jokic himself struggled in the game, which is uncharacteristic for the big man, but if they don’t find some way to win the next game at home, then the series and the season are all but over for them.
