Ben Simmons’ latest injury has fans fuming. And the responses on social media didn’t exactly see love and support going his way.

The Brooklyn Nets guard had a sore left knee that now sees him go through a strengthening program ruling him out of the Sunday game against the Atlanta Hawks. However, Simmons said he is likely to miss a few more games, irking the Nets fans.

Here are some choice responses from fans slamming and roasting the already under-fire guard. One of the fans wanted to see the list of injuries Simmons had sustained over the course of the season: “I honestly want to see the detailed list of injuries Ben gets.”

Another believed that the 26-year-old was just faking an injury. “Unpopular Opinion: Ben Simmons has never had a real injury ever, I think he faked everyone,” a tweet read.

One Philadelphia 76ers fan was just glad that James Harden made his way in exchange for Simmons: “Can’t believe we managed to flip him for James Harden before shit really started to go downhill”

Simmons wouldn’t definitely want to hear this one: “Ben Simmons wants to get paid for doing absolutely nothing. After his contract is up the NBA needs to let this dude go to China. No team should sign up for his reality show drama. He wants the NBA fame & money but doesn’t wanna put in any work.”

Simmons has already missed 17 games for the Nets this season. His season average of 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists is also the lowest of his career.

Ben Simmons Gets Candid About His Role With The Brooklyn Nets

It’s unfortunate that a player like Ben Simmons, who was pegged for greatness when he burst onto the scene is going through hard times. And it was even more crushing when he revealed that he had no idea about his role in the new-look Brooklyn squad.

Speaking with Kristian Winfield of The New York Daily News, Simmons said that he has ‘no idea’ of his role on this team.

“Everything’s been changing all year, so it’s hard to really understand what’s going on, but hopefully we find some rhythm and consistency,” Simmons explained. “It’s different. It’s a different experience (coming off the bench). So whatever the team needs from us to win, I’m willing to do that.”

The Nets lost Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant to the Dallas Mavericks and the Phoenix Suns earlier this month, and Simmons was looked at as the one pulling himself up and leading the new-look side, but it hasn’t been the case thus far.

The former No. 1 overall pick has been a far cry from his talented self, and hopefully, he will find a way to get out of the rut he’s in. The Nets seem to be doing fine otherwise, but a destructive Simmons would further elevate them to a better position.
