NBA Fans were lavish in their praise for Philadelphia 76ers superstar James Harden for his heartwarming gesture to the Michigan State shooting victim.

They placed profound respect on Harden after he reached out to 20-year-old John Hao, who was paralyzed from below the neck after his spinal cord was injured during the shooting. ‘The Beard’ sprung to action immediately by donating to his GoFundMe, gifting him with some new sneakers, and also offering encouragement and support.

His wholesome act to Hao saw Twitterati heap praises:

“Man I love this guy,” one of the fans wrote.

This was seconded by another who opined that no one spoke about these acts by Harden. “These kind of things no one talks about James harden,” he wrote.

His act drew massive respect from a fan who urged others to read what Harden did. “Big time respect for James Harden calling the young man that was shot and paralyzed last week at Michigan State shooting. Listen in to this…..” he wrote.

Another from Twitterati said “Harden rules” while also adding that he never understood why the guard got the hate.

James Harden rules. Never understood the hate for the guy. He just does his own thing and plays ball. https://t.co/JX5sQr4otE

Harden’s philanthropy is well-documented. During his time with the Houston Rockets, the guard doled out millions in support of the city and also helped the people who needed support.

James Harden Has Been Instrumental In The Philadelphia 76ers’ Good Run This Season

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the teams poised to make the playoffs and make a deeper run. For Harden, the team is also the best shot he has to win the maiden title that’s been elusive for him for a long time now.

And he’s playing his part. At the time of writing, he averages 21.4 points, 10.8 assists, and 6.2 rebounds per game on 45.1% shooting. His consistent performances coupled with Joel Embiid’s dominance make the Sixers bonafide title contenders.

Harden had a good outing in their recent 110-105 win against the Memphis Grizzlies, notching up 31 points, 7 rebounds, and as many assists. The win sees the side placed third in the East with a 39-19 record below the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks respectively.

It goes with saying that the 33-year-old is pivotal for the side this season, and one can hope that his continued scintillating production will take Philadelphia the distance.
