Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan were two of the best friends in the NBA despite competing for individual and collective awards during their careers, taking their respective teams to compete and win championships, and becoming big legends of the game.

When they weren’t competing against each other, Barkley and Jordan were really good friends, but all of that changed after they took separate routes, and Chuck ended up criticizing MJ for his work on the Charlotte Hornets. During the most recent edition of All the Smoke, Barkley revealed the last time he spoke with MJ and the last thing His Airness told him

They went from being really good friends to nothing now, which is painful for Chuck. He’s trying to recover their relationship, but Mike doesn’t seem to be interested in that, so it’s hard to see them making amends anytime soon.

NBA Fans Comment On Charles Barkley And Michael Jordan’s Ruined Relationship

NBA fans reacted to these words, showing their empathy with Chuck and pretty much urging MJ to forget about his pride and reunite with his former friends. It’s sad to see these legends apart, and it would be really good to watch them together again, going at it like they used to.

Jordan be trippin lol

Mj really starting to seem to be the key factor in these beefs just saying

Funny thing is, Chuck’s critique is actually calling out MJs crew NOT Mike himself. But Mike gotta take everything personally (and I guess his stans in the comments do too )

How is that not being his boy?! He’s literally telling you what’s in your best interest & tryna help you become successful

Two old men stuck in they ways and filled with pride would love them two to make up but I do t think it’ll ever happen

Well it seem like to me u chose ya job over ya friendship so deal with the consequences, Charles coulda easily said “I don’t think he got the right ppl in office with him but at the end of the day he’s MJ he’s gonna figure it out cause he’s a winner” I hate when I hear ppl say that tho “I got to do my job” sound like u chose money over ya loyalty ‍♂️

Mike gotta let that ish go. Life too short man. MJ took that killer mentality he had on the court and brought it into even damn aspect of his life. You gotta soften in your personal life man. Really wish they sit down and talk it out.

Nope. Chuck was wrong. If that’s ya boy that’s ya boy no matter if you’re at work or not.. He didn’t have to make a comment about his ‘best friend’ at all. Could of done that at home.

Not f*ck that!!. If Mike was your best friend, that’s something you can say to him. I would never say anything negative about my best friend to anyone but him. REAL FRIENDS TALK SH*T ABOUT YOU TO YOUR FACE AND TALK GOOD ABOUT YOU BEHIND YOUR BACK. Don’t let that go over your head.

Seems to be a common denominator in all these “beefs”

10 years later…they haven’t sniffed the playoffs. Bad drafting, horrible free agent signings, and the coaches can’t get it right. Chuck didn’t lie!

Man, job or not, just protect your friendship at all cost, friendship is more precious than love, and you failed Chuck. ‍♂️

I understand what he meant by it but it’s how it was worded. I’d be offended if I heard my best friend say I wouldn’t be successful at something I’m passionate about. He could’ve said something like “he could p

Mike don’t care what non of these cats think. He outgrew Charles

He ain’t lying..10 years ago and the hornets still ain’t worth af

But did Barkley call his “best friend” and discuss what he felt everyone else should be discussing with him or tell him what he said on the show as a friend in private? As my “friend”, critique me in private BEFORE you embarrass me in public.

That says a lot about MJ and if he was really good friends with Chuck. If your friends can’t tell you that you’re f’ing up things, do better and giving you advice, are they really you’re friends or your boys? MJ has to know that he’s not going to out GM others that’s been doing it longer and better than him. He made some terrible drafts and trades back then.. we all seen it.. Hurt feelings don’t win championships.

Nobody wants to say it but as much as everybody says MJ was mentally tough he is very sensitive against Isiah, chuck, pippen

MJ needs to mature emotionally. At some point, the common denominator needs to be identified….MJ! ‍♂️

Awe. Makes me feel a little different about MJ. If Barkley’s version is accurate, MJ should call him and make it right. That seems petty.

Chuck could have told him that personally instead of him hearing how he feel on tv. Everybody saying Chuck right AIN’T RIGHT!!!
He claim that was his boy he should have been told him that not air it out around a whole bunch of people getting paid to talk to him

This all started when Chuck criticized the people that surrounded Mike, and the six-time NBA champion didn’t like that, starting this beef that, just like the one with Mike and Scottie, is one-sided. Barkley would like to rekindle his friendship with Jordan, but it’s not up to him right now.
