After an underwhelming finish in Dallas, Kyrie Irving is facing a major decision about his NBA future. It’s tough to figure out exactly what he means here, but the text coupled with the video of Kyrie in a Mavs jersey has led some to believe it’s a hint that he’s coming back to Dallas.

To most, however, Kyrie remains an enigma who cannot be taken at his word. It’s not too long ago, after all, that he was talking about loyalty with the Celtics and Nets. So how can the Mavericks know that he’ll stick around?

Lakers Expected To Pursue Kyrie
Even had the Mavericks played really well with Kyrie, there was always going to be a chance he joins the Lakers this summer. With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and an ambitious GM, it’s no secret that Irving has been tied to the Purple and Gold since February.
“When the Lakers want someone, they get him,” said Matt Barnes. “No matter what the cap is, no matter what they have to do when the Lakers want someone they get him. So it’ll definitely be a Kyrie watch. When they want someone, they make it happen.”
