Pelicans star Zion Williamson was listed as out for the game against the Timberwolves on Wednesday. So when fans saw the post by Zion’s girlfriend, Ahkeema, in a hospital bed just hours before, it didn’t take them too long to piece together the latest news of what’s happened with the young NBA star.

While most fans simply wished Zion the best of luck for him and his family, others decided to go down a different route by bring up Moriah Mills, the woman who threatened to expose sex tapes of Williamson and ruin his career, reputation, and family. Williamson allegedly cheated on his girlfriend with this woman, and fans just won’t let him forget it.

Mills has been waging this campaign against Williamson for months, but it’s unknown if she plans to take action after Zion welcomes his daughter into the world. Needless to say, it hasn’t stopped people from making jokes in light of the situation.

Of course, some fans just simply want answers on what happened with Williamson and who should be held accountable for the accusations made against him this past summer.

Hopefully, Moriah has moved on from the topic entirely and she’ll allow the Williamson family to move on with their lives. But until some concrete answers are given on what exactly went down between Zion and Mills, there will always be some questions about his character and his ability to stay out of trouble both on and off the court. As we’ve seen in the past, baggage from past relationships can come back to destroy an athlete’s career. The same could happen with Z if he’s not careful from here on out.

Who Is Moriah Mills?

Moriah Mills is a bit of a celebrity among professional athletes. Mills, a former adult film star and current Only Fans creator, went viral after she claimed to have slept with Zion Williamson and threatened to release the tapes online. According to Mills, Zion “betrayed’ her and resorted to offering hush money when he got physical with her. In an infamous Twitter rant, she stated her goal was to “ruin” Zion, suggesting that this could just be the start of her war against the NBA millionaire.

Without any proof to verify her claims, it’s impossible to tell if Moriah is being factual with any of her claims, especially since Zion has denied to comment publicly on the matter. At the very least, it’s safe to say that Williamson had some kind of relationship with Mills, but the details of what it was and when it happened remain a mystery at this time.

Zion Has A Lot To Prove

The ongoing accusations from Mills has nearly destroyed Zion’s reputation. With many fans calling him a player and character, the feelings around Williamson are more mixed than they’ve ever been and he’s on a short leash when it comes to fan approval across the league. Whether guilty or innocent of the accusations in question, it will take time for Zion to win back the trust of the people.

On the court, the work is just beginning to get him to a place where he wants to be. With averages of 21.8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game on 50.5% shooting, the numbers are down across the board for Z and he’s already facing some serious doubts about his durability for the season. At this point, Zion has to prove he belongs as one of the NBA’s elite because he just hasn’t shown enough to prove he belongs in that conversation with some of the best in the world.
