  • NBA fans are not convinced after Nets star flashes his workout routine in viral video
  • Simmons gets roasted on X after years of disappointing play
  • Nets expect big things from Simmons with his health at full strength

3x All-Star Ben Simmons hasn’t been himself since his ugly breakup with the 76ers. Once considered a premier two-way player, Simmons averaged just 6.9 points per game last season, and it shows just how far he’s fallen.

Nevertheless, Ben wants you to know that he’s still working hard to become the player he used to be. In a brand new summer workout video, Ben is caught shooting multiple times in a workout sesh with Royce O’Neale and Dennis Smith Jr.

Clips like these have become an almost monthly occurrence for Simmons. In fact, almost every time videos like these are posted, fans are there to respond with heat. In this case, that proved to be true once again as users quickly took to the comments to troll Simmons.

Simmons has only attempted 36 three-pointers in his entire career, with only five makes total to his name. At this point, nobody is convinced that things will ever change for Ben and it’s being chalked up as a lost cause.

Unfortunately for the Nets, they are stuck with this guy as the last remnant of the Kevin Durant era and unless he can return to form, they will never truly become a threat in the East.

Will Ben Simmons Become An All-Star Again?

At his best, Simmons was a guy teams were willing to build a franchise around. During the 2019-20 season, he averaged 16.4 points, 8 assists, and 7.8 rebounds per game on 58% shooting. But after a peculiar incident in the 2021 playoffs, Simmons lost all his confidence and it destroyed his game.

Now, after several failed seasons, there is little hope that Ben can ever recover this game, and some believe he’ll be out of the league entirely when his contract expires in 2025. It’s a good thing that he’s already set to earn over $177 million from his last deal with the Sixers.

This upcoming campaign will be a huge test for Simmons, who is reportedly finally healthy for the first time in a while. With Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving gone, the window is open for him to take over as the leader in Brooklyn.

If not, he could see his last chance for a future in the NBA pass him by.
