Anthony Edwards Wants To Keep His Offseason Work A Secret: “I Ain’t Telling Nobody. I Wanna Come Back Like Houdini.”

2 Min Read

Anthony Edwards is one of the most promising rookies of his draft class, and his game has lived up to his status as the #1 pick so far. Edwards is currently averaging 18.5 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 2.8 APG, and has shown that he can be a very capable slasher and shot creator.

While his rookie season has been a resounding success, there are obviously things that Edwards can still work on during this offseason. There are a lot of players who talk publicly about what they plan to improve on when going into the offseason. However, it seems as though Anthony Edwards will not be revealing his offseason work to the public. When asked about his plans, Edwards stated that he wouldn’t reveal that to anybody, and added that he wanted to come back “like Houdini”.

It seems as though doing workouts in secret could be an advantage, as it would give opponents less knowledge of what to expect. While this seems to have been said in a joking manner, it is clear that Anthony Edwards cares enough about his work to keep it secret before the end result.

We can look at Anthony Edwards today, and already see the makings of a future star. The potential is clearly there, and perhaps an offseason will help him start moving towards becoming the third All-Star caliber player on the Minnesota Timberwolves. While we cannot predict the future, it seems hard to deny that Anthony Edwards has all the tools to become a great player in this league.
