Ben Simmons doesn’t want to know anything of the Philadelphia 76ers anymore. And, apparently, the feeling is mutual, as some fans even started dissing him during a wrestling show in Philadelphia.
Moreover, Simmons has no intention whatsoever to report to the team, as he’s listed one of his two houses for $3.1 million and, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, he’s also emptied his other house and has all his belongings packed.
Charania also added that the Sixers reached out to the Blazers with a trade offer but Portland didn’t want to meet that steep price:
“Sources tell me that Simmons has emptied his home in Philadelphia and has had his belongings all packed and moved out, and the place will soon go up for sale. The 76ers I’m told asked the Trail Blazers for three first-round picks and three draft swaps, but Portland rejected that proposal,” reported Charania.

No team is likely to want and take that deal as it’s obvious that either the Sixers or Simmons will have to cave in eventually. No one will risk that many assets for a player who’s been so open in his desire to be traded away.
As of now, it seems like the biggest dark horse to acquire Simmons’ services would be the Indiana Pacers, according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
“A league source told The Inquirer the Pacers were among a group of teams still inquiring about Simmons’ availability. Another source confirmed the Sixers have interest in Indiana’s Caris LeVert,” reported Pompey. “The Pacers shooting guard along with point guard Malcolm Brogdon, who Indiana is open to moving, and at least one first-rounder should be enough to get a deal done. Simmons will make $33 million this season. Brogdon is set to receive $21.7M, while LeVert has $17.5M coming his way.”
Whether Simmons will want to play for the Pacers or if the Pacers are ready to part ways with those players is yet to be seen.
What’s clear as day is that the former first-overall pick doesn’t want to show his face in the City of Brotherly Love anymore. Ever.
