Bronny James may not be as hyped as Victor Wembanyama, but his talent, skills, and connection to one of the game’s All-Time greats have easily made him one of the most anticipated prospects of his class.

For Bronny, the expectations may outweigh what he’s been able to produce so far, but he’s been good enough to earn a spot on the McDonald’s All-American roster, which is the single greatest honor a High School basketball athlete can achieve.

The McDonald’s All-American Game is the most prestigious high school basketball honor for any high school senior, and the 2023 game will feature a pair of legacy kids: Bronny James and D.J. Wagner. LeBron James played in the game in 2003 and his son, Bronny, was one of the 24 players announced Tuesday to participate in the game this year.

The 2023 McDonald’s All-American Game will take place in Houston, with the girls game airing on March 28 at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2 and the boys game will immediately follow on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.

After the news, Bronny took to Instagram in excitement and posted the following picture:

Bronny, a senior at Sierra Canyon High, has been described as an excellent athlete with great explosiveness, outstanding body control, and an excellent feel for the game. As of the time of writing, he has not yet committed to a college, although he has reportedly narrowed his choices down to a few.

Where Will Bronny Go To School?

The nature of Bronny’s college career has been a topic of conversation for some time now. While LeBron has made it clear that his son can go wherever he wants, there are reportedly three schools he likes more than the others.

“According to a person with knowledge of the situation not authorized to speak publicly, James will make a decision on his college commitment after the season, and his top three schools are Ohio State — his father’s favorite — USC and Oregon.”

Only James himself knows which way he’s leaning, and he has yet to tell the world what he’s thinking.

But, wherever he goes, Bronny is showing a lot of promise as a young athlete, and he’s following a path that will surely lead to success at the highest level of the game.
