Chris Paul Is The Only Star Of The Incredible 2008 New Orleans Hornets That Hasn’t Won A Championship

Chris Paul is on a new team now, the Phoenix Suns. After spending the last two years with the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder, CP3 is playing for his third team in three years. The point guard is ready to lead another young team to compete in the league and see if he can finally win the longed-for NBA championship.

CP3 has been part of big teams during his career but he’s had a hard time finding success in the association. One NBA fan posted a very curious picture showing CP3 during his first years with the then-New Orleans Hornets, comparing his career to the other “stars” of that team.

He appears with Tyson Chandler, Peja Stojakovic and David West. The curious thing about this is that out of those four players, the only one that hasn’t won a championship is Paul. Ballrsnation wrote a curious caption for CP3, asking to start a petition to give a ring to Paul.

Back in 2008, Paul and those players led the Hornets to the 2nd seed in the Western Conference, beating the Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the postseason before the San Antonio Spurs eliminated them in seven games.

He’s been balling his entire career and hasn’t even played in the Finals. He spent six years with the Los Angeles Clippers and never reached the Western Conference Finals; after that, he landed in Houston, reaching the Western Conference Finals twice but the Golden State Warriors were always there to ruin his plans.

The Thunder wasn’t a team that could have a deep playoff run and his situation with the Suns is still developing.

Tyson Chandler and Peja Stojakovic were part of the 2011 Dallas Mavericks team that upset the Big 3 Miami Heat and won a championship surprising everybody. David West won two consecutive NBA rings with Golden State in 2017 and 2018, helping the Dubs reach the glory.

As for Paul, he was very close to making it to the Finals in 2018 but an injury killed his chances to get past the Warriors and James Harden was helpless against the four-headed monster that those Warriors were.

He has a very good team in Phoenix but only time will tell if they have enough talent to compete with the best squads in the conference.
