Chris Paul is a serious character, as players don’t reach the heights that he has in his career without developing a serious work ethic and a burning desire to win. But like many other top athletes, CP has enjoyed his share of funny moments on the internet during his time in the league. And while not a lot of NBA stars can claim this, CP3 has managed to roast one of the best comedians in the business in Kevin Hart.

When Paul had just joined the Oklahoma City Thunder, he made an appearance on Kevin Hart’s show, Cold As Ba**s. After Hart made a joke about Chris having big ears though, CP gave it right back to him, roasting Hart for having small ears. The entire segment was quite hilarious and showed the lighter side of Chris Paul, who’s always been an elite competitor on the court.

Kevin Hart: “When you said Grant Hill told you, I thought you was gonna say about how to deal with life with big ears. Cuz you guys both have-“

Chris Paul: “Is everything good with you?’

Kevin Hart: “No I was gonna-“

Chris Paul: “No, is everything good with you?”

Kevin Hart: “Yes, I’m telling you-“

Chris Paul: “When you talk to me right now, I can’t see your ears.”

Kevin Hart: “What does that mean, I’m not-“

Chris Paul: “I thought you didn’t have ears.”

Kevin Hart: “You don’t have to do this. We’re having a great conversation. Dell, are we not having a great conversation?”

Chris Paul: “You’re the first elf I’ve seen with no ears.”

Paul also spoke about his fake-laughing at Steve Kerr when he was still with the Rockets, an incident that had gone viral at the time, in what was a hilarious but insightful conversation between him and Kevin Hart. Since then CP3 has enjoyed great success with the Phoenix Suns, and he’ll have a lot more to smile and joke about if they can clinch the NBA title this season.
