Damian Lillard is among the most respected players in the NBA. he has exemplified professionalism since entering the league. He has never been in any major controversy and is perceived by everyone as a dedicated and loyal player looking to make something special happen with the Portland Trail Blazers.

People have told Lillard to leave the Blazers for a team he can contend for a title on for years, but he has stuck with the Blazers and hopes to take them to the title. He might be a rare one-team man, but he hopes that players like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander can heed his advice after being linked to other teams during another tanking season in OKC.

Shai is still extremely young and in the first year of his new contract with OKC. Despite the Thunder’s 14-18 record this season, Shai needs to realize that the Thunder are in a position to bring him any co-star in the league with their plentiful picks and incredible young talent core.

Will Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Ask Out?

SGA played in the playoffs as a rookie and sophomore but hasn’t made it back since. He is a competitive player who looks destined to be on the All-Star team this year. Even though the Thunder are bad, Shai is having an inspired season, averaging 31.2 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.

Shai possibly leaving the Thunder has been addressed before and linking him to other teams comes from everyone wanting his talent to be highlighted on a winning team.

He is young and can highlight his talent in OKC. The fans will hope he is the championship-winning franchise cornerstone that won’t leave the team, like James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Russell Westbrook did.
