Former NBA All-Star Deron Williams and Frank Gore, third on the NFL’s all-time rushing yards list, will make their professional boxing debuts when they square off on the Jake Paul-Tommy Fury undercard on Dec. 18 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. The four-round heavyweight bout will boast a 215-pound contractual weight limit.

The Paul-Fury fight, between the YouTube star and the UK boxer was officially set in late October. The bout, to be broadcast on Showtime PPV, will be contested at a 192-pound catchweight per a press release.

Williams will try to get the W in his first bout. The last time we saw an NBA player take the ring, Nate Robinson was KO’d by Jake Paul. Deron hopes to have a different result this time, but even if he loses, he’ll get a lot of respect for stepping on the ring.

During his career, Williams averaged 16.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 8.1 assists in 845 games. As for Gore, he rushed for 16,000 yards and scored 81 touchdowns while becoming a 5x Pro-Bowler during his career.
