Derrick Rose is one of the most beloved players in the NBA. Rose has been in the league for 14 years now, and during that time, he has had incredible highs and lows. Rose was, at one point in his career, one of the best players in the league. And while injuries have derailed his career to a certain extent, he still is a fan favorite. A moment he had before the Knicks game shows why he is still so popular.

Derrick Rose was spotted playing a friendly game of pick-up with his son before the game against the Knicks. Rose was trying to have some fun with his son, while also getting some reps in while he recovers from an injury that is most likely to keep him out for the rest of the season. It was heartwarming to see Rose and his son go back and forth for a short stretch of time before the game.

D-Rose has always been a family man and takes care of his loved ones. He famously negotiated his Adidas contract to ensure his brother and best friend also get paid. Rose is still one of the most popular players in the NBA. While the former MVP is no longer the All-Star caliber player he once was, he still has a massive fan following thanks to his incredible, yet short, stint as one of the best players in the NBA.

Rose is currently struggling with an injury that is expected to keep him out for the rest of the season. With both Rose and Kemba Walker unavailable for the Knicks, New York has lost two of their most experienced stars. This has given Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau a significant selection headache, as he has to rely on his younger guards like Immanuel Quickley more often than he has during the course of the season.
