With the entire NBA reeling from his trade request, Kevin Durant is getting blasted from all corners by the haters, who continue to hold his disloyalty against him.

On Monday, Durant got some support from an unlikely source (Draymond Green’s mother), who called out Warriors fans and others across the league who are skeptical about their team acquiring the 34-year-old former MVP.

This stuff is hilarious…. Everyone saying who don’t want one of the greatest players to ever play the game! I wouldn’t care what a spectator/commentator say period! Basketball players play basketball! GO PLAY! Wherever you want!

In case you haven’t yet heard, the Warriors have emerged as a suitor for Durant, who left the squad back in 2019. A return to the team now would put the Warriors back in the position they were years ago when KD first joined.

But this time, the Dubs would have to give up several key young players to get him and a lot of fans aren’t convinced it’s a price they should pay.

As for the players themselves, Curry, Green, and Thompson have already talked about welcoming KD back to town.

The other major question: If a trade is possible, would the leaders of the locker room welcome Durant? According to multiple sources, they would, for the same reason they embraced him in 2016. “I mean,” one source said, “it’s freaking Kevin Durant.”

The Warriors superstars have been in conversations with Durant. In addition to catching up, the Hall of Fame-bound peers did entertain the idea of a reunion. It was mostly about the stunning nature of it even being possible. The idea of them playing together again had to seem impossible when Durant left in free agency in 2019. It isn’t lost on them how life has contrived an opportunity for them to come full circle. They see it, like everyone else, and talked about it, like everyone else.

No matter where Durant ends up, his next destination has the potential to shift the NBA’s delicate balance of power. In Golden State, he’d make the Warriors a dynasty again.

In Phoenix or Miami, he would help bring them closer to capturing that elusive title.

Either way, Durant is a player everybody should want and there is no doubt a whole list of teams are currently in pursuit of his services.
