Former NBA guard Eric Bledsoe is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, following reports that he broke into his own Los Angeles home during an argument with his longtime girlfriend, Briona Mae.

The incident, which took place earlier this week, prompted neighbors to call the police to report a suspected domestic disturbance. Law enforcement arrived on the scene to find both Bledsoe and Mae uncooperative, adding more tension to what was already a volatile situation.

According to TMZ Sports, officers determined that Bledsoe had been locked out of his residence during the dispute and had forcibly entered the property. While that alone raised eyebrows, police concluded there were no signs of physical violence during the altercation.

No arrests were made, and both parties remained at the home following the incident.

Still, this is not the couple’s first run-in with law enforcement. Back in October 2022, Bledsoe was arrested following allegations that he had physically assaulted Mae.

She posted images of a red mark on her face at the time, accusing Bledsoe of being abusive. However, charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence, and the situation gradually faded from the public spotlight.

This latest incident, though less severe legally, has once again cast a spotlight on the tumultuous nature of their relationship. Bledsoe has since attempted a public apology tour, using social media to post and then delete messages aimed at reconciling with Mae.

Despite the turmoil, the pair were both seen at Nobu Malibu on Tuesday night. Though Bledsoe claimed he was dining alone, the overlapping location tags on their social media posts suggest otherwise, further fueling speculation about the status of their relationship.

Bledsoe, 35, last played in the NBA with the Portland Trail Blazers before a brief stint in China with the Shanghai Sharks. Once known for his explosive athleticism and defensive tenacity during his time with the Clippers, Suns, Bucks, and Pelicans, his NBA career was derailed by injuries and declining production.

Mae, a reality TV personality and influencer best known for appearing on “She’s Got Game” in 2015, shares twin daughters with Bledsoe. The two have reportedly been dating since 2020, and their relationship has been marked by a series of ups and downs both in private and in public.

While this most recent incident did not result in legal action, it adds to a growing list of off-court issues that have followed Bledsoe in recent years. His attempts at damage control through public apologies may not be enough to erase the scrutiny now hovering over both his personal life and public image.

Whether this leads to meaningful change or yet another chapter in an already turbulent saga remains to be seen.
