Boston Celtics fans are some of the most intense supporters around the NBA. You can say that Knicks, Sixers and Lakers fans have something to say about this, but don’t underestimate the Greens fans and what they can do to their rivals.

On Wednesday, they dropped F-bombs on Draymond Green all night long, trying to help their players get a win in Game 3 and the 2-1 lead in the series. The Celtics played great, but their fans were ready to chant anything to help them secure the W.

They are very passionate about their team and, knowing that the NBA championship is on the line right now; they have taken things to the next level. Some Golden State Warriors staffers have admitted they have been harassed by Boston fans who have anything but love for them.

According to Jason Dumas, people working in different areas of the organization have received bad treatment in Boston over the last couple of days.

I’ve chatted with multiple Warriors staffers (who work in various diff roles in the org) and their experience here in Boston has been crazy.

One told me “I had to take off my Dubs shirt Wed morning because I kept getting cursed out.”

Another: “I’ve been flipped off 17 times.”

Celtics fans only care about winning, and even if that means going against their own players, they won’t hesitate. Now imagine how hard it must be for the people who work for the team trying to beat them in the Finals. The NBA sparks big passions among people and this is another sample of that.

Both Celtics and Warriors have huge fanbases that won’t hesitate to play their own game trying to secure the win for their team. It’s good to see they are defending their squads with everything they have, as long as it doesn’t get out of control.
