John Wall Hypes Up The New Battle Of Los Angeles: “I Think It’s Gonna Be A Great Battle, And I Think It’s A Great Opportunity For Me.”

John Wall is ready to start a new chapter in his career with the Los Angeles Clippers after two rocky seasons with the Houston Rockets. The talented point guard sees this as a new opportunity to prove his value in the league, and he’s all-in to help the Clippers win their first-ever NBA championship.

The job won’t be easy for them, though, as the Golden State Warriors are the team to beat in the Western Conference, while other squads like the Memphis Grizzlies, Phoenix Suns, or Dallas Mavericks could make things harder for the Clips, too.

Moreover, there is this team that the Clippers always want to beat, and Wall plans to do it a lot next season. The Clippers dominated their head-to-head matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers last season, and even though the Purple and Gold are struggling to get things going, it’s always special to face them for the Clippers.

Talking about the renewed battle of Los Angeles, Wall said that he’s ready for the challenge of helping his team beat the Lakers and do it in front of millions of fans.

“We know who they have over there, and we know who we have on our side,” John Wall said when asked about the Lakers vs. Clippers rivalry, via The San Luis Obispo Tribune. “I think it’s gonna be a great battle, and I think it’s a great opportunity for me. I think a lot of people get to see me play on TV, with Kawhi and those guys they have a lot of TV games, I love the stage. When the lights is bright, that’s the best time to perform, so I’m excited for it.”

There’s no love between these two teams, and in the past couple of years, it’s been more visible than before. Perhaps the Lakers are living terrible times right now, but things could change soon. If they manage to land Kyrie Irving this summer, then we’ll be ready for big games between the Clippers and Lakers.
