Andrew Wiggins and the Golden State Warriors comfortably destroyed the Minnesota Timberwolves as they won their 10th game of the 2021-22 NBA season. It was a special game for Wiggins as he faced off against his former team.
Wiggins knew that well and went on to bring his best game to the table. The Warriors forward contributed 35 points in 32 minutes to the Dubs’ victory over the Timberwolves.
The 26-year-old was elegant and even his former teammate Karl-Anthony Towns praised him for his efforts. According to Timberwolves reporter Dane Moore, KAT said:
“He always does that. Any team — Cavaliers traded him, Wolves did. You expect it, to come out and play well. He was 9 of 9 in the first half. He won them the game.”
Karl-Anthony Towns on if Andrew Wiggins had extra juice for the Timberwolves:

Facing off against your former team is a great occasion for any player to show them what they are missing. Wiggins certainly played with a chip on his shoulder against the Timberwolves.
Arguably the best moment of the game was when he threw down a crazy dunk on none other than Karl-Anthony Towns. Warriors’ Stephen Curry talked about it in the post-game interview. Curry revealed:
“Anytime you catch a body like that & their history. Imma need that on my wall I’ll tell you that much. I’m gonna text Wiggs a picture of him dunking on KAT every game right before the game, see if that helps. He got 72 text messages from me coming his way.
Like Steph said it will be a great way to motivate Wiggins to continue performing at this level. Wiggins has always been a good player, but what he has lacked is consistency.
If he can become consistent this season, the sky is the limit for him and the Warriors as well. They have the best record in the league by a wide margin and are only getting better with each passing season.
With Klay Thompson yet to return to the team, it is quite evident that the Warriors are the favorites to come out of the Western Conference once it’s all said and done.
