Karl-Anthony Towns On Anthony Edwards: "He's The Most Talented Player I've Ever Played With."

Anthony Edwards

Karl-Anthony Towns has played with a lot of talented teammates over the years. From Zach LaVine and Andrew Wiggins to Jimmy Butler and D'Angelo Russell, KAT has enjoyed a variety of All-Star-level talent on the roster.

But out of all his teammates, Anthony Edwards is apparently the most talented.

After securing a Game 4 win over Memphis on Saturday, Towns dropped this statement on the 20-year-old star.

On the court, Edwards can do it all. In 72 games, the young stud averaged 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game on 44% shooting. Already, he has emerged as a leader for the Wolves.

Best of all, he plays with a level of swag and confidence that is unmatched at his age.

"Last year when I was screaming, I said, look, Anthony Edwards is generational," said Kendrick Perkins. "Anthony Edwards should have won rookie of the year and I'm a Lamelo Ball fan but he's no Anthony Edwards. And I think really we got to stop even having those two in the same conversation, just being realistic. It's just two different animals bro and when I'm watching this dude ant-man his swag is on another level."

So, it's clear that the Wolves have a star and a leader for the future. Whatever happens with Towns or Russell, they can count on Edwards to be the guy for them.

As far as these current playoffs, the Timberwolves have a chance to shock the world. For a team with very little success in the postseason, their rise to the playoffs this year was inspiring, and they haven't wasted the opportunity.

Against the 2nd seeded Grizzlies, the team is tied 2-2 in the series and could retake the lead in Game 5 on Tuesday.

No doubt it will be up to Anthony Edwards to take them there. As good as Towns is, they only go as far as Ant takes them.
