Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Can't Stop Laughing After A Reporter Calls The Lakers 'A Failure'

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Can't Stop Laughing After A Reporter Calls The Lakers 'A Failure'

The Los Angeles Lakers aren't having the great season they expected to have after an entertaining summer. The purple and gold traded three good role players in exchange for Russell Westbrook. Yet, so far, the Washington Wizards are winning this exchange.

Kyle Kuzma, Montrezl Harrell and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are proving they are great pieces for the Wizards, helping the team become one of the top squads in the Eastern Conference. They won a thriller against the Miami Heat on Saturday night, beating a direct rival for the top spots in the conference, bringing their record to 11-5.

After the game was over, the Wizards were in great spirits and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope couldn't hide his excitement. He's living the best life right now, and when somebody asked him about his old team, calling them 'a failure,' the guard lost it while the rest of the reporters laughed at the question.

Reporter: "You're having a great season while the team that traded you (Lakers) has been a failure. Any satisfaction from that?"

KCP: “I’m happy where I’m at,” said KCP after he was able to gather himself. “I wasn’t really too upset about what happened with the trade.

“Brad is a great friend,” the ex-Lakers wing continued. “We always talked about playing with each other. So it was no biggie for me already coming off a championship. It was time to move on.”

It's good to see that Caldwell-Pope is enjoying his time in D.C. The Wizards are one of the biggest surprises of the season and fans love watching them play. The Eastern Conference is stacked this season, as teams like the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat joined the favorites Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks, and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Wizards have something good in their hands, too. They can make a lot of noise this campaign if they keep the pace. Right now, everybody seems to be happy in that locker room. Hopefully, things can stay that way and we can see Bradley Beal finally competing in the playoffs. After several years of struggles, he has the right help to take this team to the next level.

As for the Lakers, they keep drawing attention for bad reasons, becoming a laughing stock around the league.
