Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets have had a complex 2022-23 NBA season, but the player and his team have turned things around and now look incredibly good, even being considered favorites to fight for a top spot in the Eastern Conference against the juggernauts Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, and the young Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Nets are now with one of the best records in the NBA, posting a 23-12 record, thriving under Jacque Vaughn as their head coach. Kevin Durant has expressed his excitement with the Nets’ current moment, and he’s also showing why he’s one of the best players in the association right now.

Kyrie is also ready to dominate the competition, and his recent performances show that he’s willing to do anything to win with the Nets. After a rocky start to the season, which included another huge scandal for the point guard, Irving is now balling and delighting everybody with his performances.

Kyrie Irving Explains His Mentality When The Game Is On The Line

During the post-game conference following the Nets’ win against the Atlanta Hawks, Kyrie spoke about his mentality during his recent games. He claimed that when the 4th quarter starts, he’s in killing mode.

“For me specifically, when the fourth quarter hits, it’s winning time,” Irving said after the Nets’ 108-107 win. “That’s all I really know.”

The Nets are now fighting for the top spot in the East, showing a very different face against their rivals, who simply have no response for him. Irving is ready to help Kevin Durant win a championship in Brooklyn, and these Nets are playing great together. Ben Simmons is still trying to find his rhythm, but when he comes back, the team will be even more dangerous.

Jacque Vaughn has done a tremendous job coaching this squad, and Irving is taking things very seriously. Now, it’s time for him to prove that he can help them in the postseason, where the Nets have always struggled.

In 25 games this season, Kyrie is averaging 26.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.7 assists while shooting 48.8% from the field and 91.3% from the free-throw line.
