Just when it seems like the Los Angeles Lakers are on the verge of figuring it out, they fall flat on their face once again. They had seen their 3-game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Raptors, but they were short-handed in that game, so it was understandable that they came away with a loss.

The game against the Philadelphia 76ers saw the return of both LeBron James and Anthony Davis but it seemed it wouldn’t be enough for the Lakers to return to winning ways, as they were down 119-110 with 34.1 seconds remaining. They miraculously managed to stage a comeback and might have even won it in regulation, but Davis missed a go-ahead free throw at the end. The Lakers had all the momentum heading into overtime but laid an egg as they didn’t score for the first four minutes of the period and lost 133-122.

Lakers Fans Call Out LeBron James After Dismal Showing Against The Sixers

LeBron got the bulk of the blame for this loss, as he shot just 9-22 from the field and was an awful 1-8 from beyond the arc. Lakers fans were not happy with the King for this showing and they made their feelings clear about his performance.

LeBron was playing very well in recent weeks but this was a dud on his part. This Lakers team cannot win if all of their big stars don’t play well and the only reason this went to OT was that the Sixers completely blew it with under 30 seconds remaining.

Davis has been spectacular for a while now and is in the MVP conversation but for whatever reason, only took 13 shots here. He still scored 31 points and it is time for the Lakers to completely hand over the reins to him if they are to have any kind of success this season.
