2023 is already shaping up to be a whole lot better than 2022 for the Los Angeles Lakers. The franchise seemed to be in a heap of trouble not too long back, but they have turned things around in some style this year.

The Lakers had won all 3 of their games in 2023 and were riding a 4-game winning streak leading into their clash with the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. It ended up being a back-and-forth game with some big plays being made down the stretch, but the Lakers eventually came away with a 136-134 win.

Lakers fans were thrilled with the win and were full of praise for the team.

“LOVE THESE GUYS “

“We finally got a Team”

“Lakers won 5 in a row, AD coming back soon, Laker nation WE MOVE”

“Keep stacking them Ws “

“they starting to give me hope now “

“Gotta give it to TB though he left everything on that floor tonight thank you my guy “

“we back fr”

“Putting the rest of the league on notice.”

” pure goatness, proud fan”

“Still undefeated in 2023 ⚡”

“that was fun to watch! A thrill”

“Great team win all around! Lakeshow baby!!!”

“we love to see it “

“Protect Thomas Bryant at all cost”

“Now this is the team I’ve been waiting to see! So much fun to watch again!!”

“I love thomas braynt so much”

“This was impressive, and coach Ham is impressive in getting this group, without its best player (and arguably 3rd best player) to win games like these. This team last year would have folded, they aren’t because of him. Well done.”

“2023 : A different mindset with my Lakers!”

“Without AD, Reaves and Lonnie and they will be back soon. The league should worry. LFG!”

“THANK YOU for all your effort! What a game!”

LeBron James was his usual dominant self as he finished with a game-high 37 points to go with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. He got plenty of help, too, as Thomas Bryant, Dennis Schroder, and Russell Westbrook all scored over 20 points. The Lakers need this kind of production from the rest of the team if they are to achieve anything of note this season.

LeBron James Explained The Reasons Behind The Lakers’ Turnaround

If you had told someone that the Lakers would go on a 5-game winning run without Anthony Davis this season, they’d have laughed at your face. The team just looked like a mess without him, but to their credit, they have performed much better recently.

LeBron was asked recently about what has changed for this squad to go on this run, and he stated that their ball movement, defense, and rebounding have been key. The defense and rebounding weren’t great in this game, but once Davis, who is progressing well, returns, he’ll help sort out any issues in those two areas.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely.
